Event information - 2009

Wow - how time flies! One week until Blanketing AZ 2009 (and Christmas for those of you who, like me, have yet to get your Christmas shopping done or started)!

We will be meeting around 7:30am on December 24th on 9th Avenue just a little south of Jackson in downtown Phoenix. You will see our big white toy hauler and you should park along the streets around that area. Check in with one of the folks wearing a red Blanketing Arizona shirt that says “Staff” on it for a bit of direction.

Just know that there are a lot of volunteers and we are not a big fancy organized group so please jump in at any station where you’d like to help and take turns so everyone gets a chance to be a part of it. We have chili service, toppings, cookies and goodies, and hot chocolate and coffee to hand out and of course blankets! Feel free to bring extra goodies to hand out that morning if you’d like.

We start the service when the chili is warm and everything is set up, not at a specific time, since there is always a line of hungry folks waiting impatiently.

Thanks again for helping to make this a successful Blanketing Arizona 2009!! I am looking forward to seeing everyone next week.
